Styling for The Showers: Your Complete Guide to Fashion in The Rains!

The rainy season is around the corner, and it is time to change your looks and outfits. Of course, you cannot always buy something new in every season, but if you plan well, you can redefine your fashion game altogether. Styling in the rainy season can be a little tricky. You cannot wear clothes that are uncomfortable, especially if the weather is humid too. Also, the use of makeup should be limited. The last thing you would want is dripping drops of mascara on your face! In this post, I have suggested a few things that are extremely practical and will add to your style. After all, we all need a little inspiration.

First things first, get a waterproof coat. This is a serious investment and will help you in styling better underneath. You can look for designs that are inspired by the fall trench coat too, and online stores have a lot of options for different budgets. Overall, coats are great for wearing stylish dresses and skirts, and you can get it off whenever you are at your destination (read work or college).

Select darker colours. Water stains are more prominent on lighter colours. If you have dark coloured tees and shirts, these are your best bets for the season. You can choose to wear softer shades, as long as you are wearing something over it. Dark colour summer jackets can be a good choice too.

Pop it up with accessories. Just because we are talking about dark clothes doesn’t mean that rain fashion has to be gloomy. You can buy umbrellas and waterproof backpacks at extremely affordable prices, and this time, go for the best colours you can find. Stripes, pop shades or even a singular mix of prints – colours are great when it comes to accessories! Also, you can add statement neckpiece or bracelet to your otherwise boring outfit.

Go for practical options. If you have to work outdoors, there’s no way that you can wear the raincoat all the time. Caps can work better with the umbrellas, or as a better choice, you can also go for hooded outfits. The weather and overall extent of rains also define your choices, but be prepared to try more options.

Keep it simple. Rainy season can cause a lot of skin and hair problems. Don’t wear clothes that don’t allow the skin to breathe. If you are drenched in showers, make it a point to wash your hair, or else, you will lose more strands. Also, you need a good pair of all-weather shoes. Avoid leather and suede for this season. As a better option, wear boots that can protect your denims and pants, or else, you can choose Crocs too.

Start shopping for the closet too!
